Day 1: Cusco – Inca Trail

We leave from our hotel toward the sacred valley of the Incas until the marker of kilometer 104 of the railway, place of beginning for our Long walk. After small preparations, we will start the trek, we will pass through some archaeological sites such us Chachabamba (2250 msnm) and Wiñay Huayna, which meaning in english “always young”; during the way we will have the opportunity to observe beautiful landscapes, some places adorned by orchids. After lunch, in the evening, we will continue the long walk until the Inti Punku (entrance of the sun) from where we will be able to observe the citadel of Machupicchu, along with a beautiful sunset! Later we will go toward Aguas calientes town to rest and enjoy our accommodation after a great day out.

Day 02 Machupicchu - Cusco

In the morning, we will take the bus toward the citadel of Machupicchu (30 minutes), where we will have a guided tour for approximately 03 hours- later, we have free time for lunch.

In the evening, return to the city of Cusco by train.

The Inca Trail, one of the most famous treks in the world, joins perfectly an adventure sport like hiking with the archaeological and cultural tourism. Also it is the place of great and wonderful landscapes, which will involve you in a magical and mysterious environment that will lead you to connect with the nature and the big historical past of these lands.

 

Day1: Cusco - Chilca – Huayllabamba:

Range: 12 kilometers (7 hours) - We take you from the hotel to Piscacucho on the 82 kilometer train rail Cusco-Machupicchu, in the Inca's Sacred valley, where we begin our long walk. Lunch in the town of Miskay , then continue our trekking. On the way we will be visiting the archaeological group of Llactapata, finally we reach to our first camp in Yucachimpa.

Day2: Huayllabamba – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo:

Range: 12 kilometers (8 hours) - In the morning, after our breakfast, we start the hardest part of the all the route, we will be walking up hill on a suddenly rugged terrain to the pace of Warmiwañusca (dead women) to 4200 (masl), the highest point of the route and from there we can observe amazing landscapes. In the afternoon, lunch and break, then continue to our second camp in Pacaymayo.

Day 3: Pacaymayo – Phuyupatamarka – Wiñay Huayna:

Range: 16 kilometers (7 hours) -We continue our long walk, beginning to ascend again to the second part of the route on 3800 (masl), en route we will see the archaeological center of Runkurakay and the citadel Inca Sayacmarca.

After we cross by the bay following the route and we see Phuyupatamarka or cloud town, another important archeological center where we lunch on the shore of that archeological center then we continue on, arriving to Wiñay Huayna. Later we go to the camp to have diner and enjoy the night life.

Day 4: Wiñay Huayna – Machupicchu – Cusco :

Range: 4 kilometers (2 hours) - We keep walking, until we arrive to Machupicchu, and pass by the Inti Punku area (The Sun's Gate), where is possible get an amazing view of the citadel. Then we begin to visit Machupicchu for a couple of hours. After, we go down hill by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes then return by train to Cusco .
